Manumea is a great home-base for exploring the beautiful island of Upolu. The early check-in was a pleasant surprise, and we loved the peaceful mountain location away from the hustle of town. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. However, be prepared for the lack of clear directions to find the hotel, as road signs are few and far between. Overall, it's a clean and comfortable spot that we would definitely recommend.

The staff provided outstanding service, from the warm welcome during check-in to the personalized tour of off-the-beaten-path sites.

Located just outside of town in the mountains, it’s a bit cooler and offers a serene atmosphere, though having a car is recommended for easy access to nearby attractions.

Overall, my stay was exceptional, thanks to the warm hospitality and creative activities offered. Luna went above and beyond to make my experience special, especially with the local food and cultural events. The outdoor bathroom was unique and refreshing, and I found the beds to be incredibly comfortable. The only downside was the outdated pool area, which could use some improvements, and the slightly remote location might make it challenging for those who prefer to be closer to the town's hustle and bustle.

While the location is a bit further out of town up a steep road, it provided a peaceful getaway away from the busy streets of Apia.

Dining was a highlight, particularly during the Fiafia night, which featured delicious local cuisine and great entertainment.

The pool area seems a bit dated and could use some TLC, but I didn't swim, so it didn't affect my stay much.

I had a mixed experience at this resort. The Fiafia night was an absolute highlight, showcasing local food, culture, and fantastic performances that my group loved. However, I faced issues like a dirty room, ants, and inconsistent service that really detracted from the overall stay. While the food was enjoyable, the other dining options were hit or miss, and the pool area felt small and lacking. The staff were friendly, but things often seemed forgotten or overlooked, which was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious with a high ceiling, a king-size bed, and a single bed that were really comfortable. However, the cleanliness left something to be desired as I encountered ant issues.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly, but I felt the service was inconsistent. They often forgot my requests, which was frustrating.
Location
7.0
The location was nice and quiet, perfect for a getaway. It is a little further from Apia and the steep road made it a bit tricky without a rental car.
Dining
5.0
The Fiafia night food was amazing, but the general dining options were minimal and not very impressive. I had a burnt chicken burger that wasn't great at all.
Facilities

The pool area felt small and was not well-lit at night, which was disappointing. It was nothing like I expected from the pictures.

I really wanted to love this resort, but there were quite a few issues during my stay. The room was spacious and had a lovely outdoor shower area, but maintenance and cleanliness were lacking. The friendly staff tried their best, but they often forgot requests, which made the experience frustrating. While the pool was small, the cooked breakfast was enjoyable, but the overall condition of the premises left much to be desired.

Rooms

The room was spacious and had beautiful high ceilings, which helped keep it cool. However, poor maintenance like burnt-out bulbs and pests significantly detracted from the experience.
Service

The staff were friendly, but their forgetfulness regarding my requests made the service less than ideal.
Location

The location was nice, but it felt a bit isolated from main attractions without a vehicle.
Dining

Our stay at Le Manumea was quite enjoyable, with standout features including a beautiful outdoor shower and a lovely pool area. The staff made us feel at home and were genuinely friendly, which enhanced our experience. However, there were some issues with cleanliness and the need for updates in certain areas like the pool and bathroom. Overall, it was a cozy, private spot perfect for some downtime, but a few improvements could really elevate it.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious and featured a nice kitchenette and air conditioning that worked wonders on hot days. The outdoor shower was a delightful addition, giving a unique twist to our experience.
Service

The staff were amazing and truly hardworking, contributing to a warm, family-oriented atmosphere during our stay.
Location

Located a bit away from Apia on a steep road, it was a quiet retreat but may require a car for easier access to town. We found the peaceful setting refreshing.
Dining

While the breakfast was filling and tasty, the dinner options were somewhat limited. The food quality was fair, but we wished for a bit more variety.
Facilities

The pool area was nice, though it did show signs of wear with missing tiles and some old sunbeds. It could use a little TLC.
